For years, aficionados have cherished Tatuaje cigars for their distinct character. Initially rolled at El Rey de Los Habanos in Little Havana, where a small team of around a dozen skilled rollers worked their craft, the brand's robust cigars quickly gained a loyal following, outpacing available stock. To expand availability, founder Pete Johnson opted to establish an offshore production line, introducing the Havana VI series in 2006. Although some enthusiasts worried that this shift might alter the brand's signature taste and style, the resulting cigars, often referred to as Tatuaje red label, earned some of the highest accolades in the brand's history. The Artistas, a pyramid-shaped cigar, boasts a complex profile featuring rich, toasty, and earthy notes, complemented by a characteristic leather undertone common to many Tatuaje blends. Expertly crafted under the guidance of the Garcia family, these cigars deliver a satisfying smoking experience.
