The Bolívar 681 Edición Regional Bulgaria is a robust Double Robusto, measuring 6 inches in length and boasting a 53-ring gauge, with a cinnamon-brown wrapper that exhibits a subtle mottling and a smooth texture. When lit, the cigar unleashes a powerful and full-bodied character, initially showcasing flavors of rich espresso, dried hay, and oak, alongside a hint of sweetness evoking the richness of chocolate. As the smoke unfolds, notes of wood, hay, and coffee mingle with the lingering sweetness of chocolate, although some have observed a touch of bitterness and an occasionally uneven balance of flavors. The cigar's draw is somewhat loose, and its burn is characterized by a wavy pattern, yet these minor construction flaws do not substantially impact the overall enjoyment of the smoke. Beginning with a strength level just below medium, the cigar gradually gains intensity, ultimately providing a satisfying and long-lasting smoking experience. Only 2500 boxes were made and released in 2011.
