The Ambos Mundos cigar was born out of a collaboration between Pete Johnson and Jose "Pepin" Garcia, who initially partnered in 2003 to craft Tatuaje cigars. However, the high production costs in Miami at the time resulted in a premium price point. When Garcia expanded his operations to Nicaragua, the reduced labor costs enabled Johnson to reimagine the cigar at a more affordable price. "I created this cigar in part as a response to economic conditions, and in part because it represents the original price point I had envisioned for the cigar," Johnson explains. Despite its budget-friendly nature, Ambos Mundos, which translates to "both worlds," remains a handcrafted, long-filler cigar. Upon smoking, it reveals a rich flavor profile featuring notes of roasted coffee, earthy undertones, and leathery nuances, all culminating in a prolonged, peppery finish.
